Door supervisor
An approved course that candidates would need to attend if they wished to enter the Security Industry as a Door Supervisor. The course is held over 3 or 4 days and contains two units;
Roles and Responsibilities
Conflict Management
Head Door Supervisor
A course to give the knowledge and understanding of the roles and responsibilities of a Head Door Supervisor. This is a good course for any Head or Deputy Head Door Supervisor or and Door Supervisor wishing to progress to this position.
First Aid Advanced (3 Day)
This is a Health and Safety Executive approved advanced course in first aid. This course is a Must for anyone who believes they could be faced with an injury at work. Are there hazards in your work place and what is the risk of that hazard becoming an accident or injury?
First Aid Appointed Person (1 Day)
Again this is a Health and Safety Executive Approved one day course. This course is ideal for individuals who would like a one day basic awareness course of first aid within their working environment.
Btec Physical Intervention
This course is designed to give the candidate knowledge regarding the use of force within a physical situation in their work place. It also provides a system and basic tools to use should a physical situation is imminent. The system does not rely on strength or size and all techniques are simple to learn.
Maybo Physical Intervention
This course is designed to give the candidate knowledge regarding the use of force within a physical situation in their work place. It also provides a system and basic tools to use should a physical situation is imminent. The system does not rely on strength or size and all techniques are simple to learn. This is a soft non pain compliant system.
Physical Intervention CPD
This is an advanced Physical Intervention System that is Ideal for security of a highly responsible position. It is also an Ideal course for people wishing to develop there physical intervention skills and exceed their standards and excel with knowledge and capability.
Terror Threat Awareness
With the world today the threat of terror is getting more likely. This course gives history of the subject and what to do if faced with a terror threat situation.
Arrest Mechanical Restraint
A course giving the candidate an incite into the law and the use of force when using hand cuffs. On completion and passing the course, candidates are advised to obtain insurance if they choose to carry these as part of their equipment in the use of maintaining public safety.
Close Protection
This course enables you to apply for your licence as Close Protection or otherwise known as Body Guards. This specialist role is becoming more and more popular within the Security Industry. Some positions in the Olympics 2012 and other firms require the applicant to have this skill and licence similar to the role of Close Protection.
CCTV
Close Circuit Television comes with a lot of responsibility and a course is required for people wishing to take on this role. It covers roles and responsibilities and the law regarding this position. This course is SIA approved.
NVQ (National Vocational Qualification)
This is a work based qualification where the candidate is assessed at work against certain standards and criteria. It gives a recognised qualification that shows that they carry out their job to a recognised level. The candidate is assessed using a variety of methods. The NVQ's we offer are listed below;
Providing Security Services (NVQ)
Ideal for anyone working as a Security Guard, Door Supervisor, Reception Security, CCTV or any similar sector.
Spectator Safety (NVQ)
This is Ideal for anyone who is involved with the security of events. Football stadiums require security to hold this qualification. This is also a must for people wishing to carry out security for the Olympics 2012.
Customer Service (NVQ)
A good qualification to hold if your position is very customer based. This would also be attractive to potential employers wishing to hire someone.
